Roberto Rios
Mr. Roberto Rios is a
patent agent registered to practice before the United States Patent and
Trademark Office. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a Patent
Agent with Patenting Consulting Group and as a Patent Analyst at
Landon-IP where he specialized in intellectual property matters, such
as: state of the art searches, patentability searches, infringement
searches, clearance searches and analysis. Mr. Rios worked as a Patent
Examiner at the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) for
six years in various electrical, electronics, telecommunications and
applied control technologies. Mr. Rios' area of practice is directed to
patent drafting and prosecution.
Mr. Rios is an active member of the Society of Hispanic Professional
Engineers, National Association of Patent Practitioners, the Asociacion
Europea de Abogados, the American Intellectual Property Law
Association, a founding member of the Asociación de
Profesionales de la Propiedad Intelectual de Puerto Rico and a member
of the Association of University Technology Managers.
Mr. Rios graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez
Campus, School of Engineering where he obtained his Bachelors of
Science in Electrical Engineering. While working at the USPTO, he
attended George Mason University, School of Engineering, where he took
graduate courses related to semiconductor technologies.
